Set in a delightful shaded garden in the tiny fishing village on the tranquil, green island of Mljet, Croatia, this is the place to come to unwind, relax, explore, read, swim and sunbathe. With great weather all year round it makes an excellent summer holiday as well as a great off-season destination to truly get away from it all. The outdoor terrace, for dining and relaxing has spectacular views across the crystal clear, secluded bay. The sea is less than 10 meters from the front door and the temptation to join the children swimming in the crystal clear waters of the bay is overwhelming.This secluded inlet is popular with yachtsmen and woman who are in the know. They moor around parts of the bay in the evenings and come ashore to sample local cuisine (grilled sea bass, octopus, calamari, wild boar) in the tiny restaurants and eateries dotted arround the bay. A mini-market opens in the summer months and there is a supermarket up on the main road. Mljet is Croatia's greenest and one of the most unspoiled islands with its Mediterranean vegetation, clear and clean sea, gentle sandy shoreline and a wealth of underwater sea life. The sparsely-populated island is considered to be one of the most beautiful of the Croatian islands. Mljet is well known for its local wines, olives and cheeses and the local diet of fresh fish from the sea which is rich in marine life, is both healthy and delicious. The island has two salted lakes - Big and Small lake , located in the magnificent National Park to the north. On the small island in the middle of Big lake, there is ancient Benedictine monastery which is well worth a visit. Big and Small lake are favorite swimming spots for locals and visitors alike and the sandy beaches to the south of the island, are favoured by families with children who are confident in the gentle sea and flat, clean sands.SPECIAL WINTER OFFER .....
